On the 2nd of March, 2024, the Tem Divisional Council of Ghana embarked on a significant journey to the Volta Regional capital Ho for the highly anticipated TEM Region Chiefs (Awurana) meeting. This gathering, held at the prestigious Restel Hotel, marked a pivotal moment for the Tem community, bringing together esteemed chiefs from various regions to deliberate on matters of mutual interest and concern.
Despite the geographical dispersion and individual responsibilities, a remarkable assembly of chiefs graced the meeting with their presence, ensuring its success and significance. Among the distinguished attendees were:
- Wuro Sahid Abu – A venerable figure, serving as the Kpando Tem Chief, his leadership and wisdom were instrumental in guiding the affairs of his region.
- Wuro Abubakar Husein – Holding the esteemed position of Volta Regional Tem Chief in Ho, his presence added gravitas and authority to the proceedings.
- Wuro Abubakar Hamid Morla – A figure of great influence, serving as the Nation Chairman and trusted advisor for Nana Dahud II, his insights carried weight and importance.
- Wuor Yahaya Sando Kinko – Representing the Tem community from both the USA and Asia, his global perspective enriched the discussions and broadened horizons.
- Wuro Adamu Mimor Issor – Notably, an Adenta Tem Chief, his dual role as a financier for the Tem Divisional Council underscored his commitment and dedication to the community’s welfare and advancement.
- Wuro Ilias Yusiff Sando – As the Kasao Tem Chief, his presence ensured the representation of his region’s concerns and aspirations, contributing to the collective dialogue.
- Wuro Issor Wazina Alhassan – Hailing from the Eastern region as its Tem Chief in Koforidua, his participation fostered unity and solidarity among the Tem community.
- Wuro Mashahud – A respected figure, serving as the Kasoa Ofanko Tem Chief, his insights and perspectives added depth and nuance to the discussions.
Mr. Nurudeen Husein Toure holds the position of secretary at the meeting, as well as serving as the secretary for the Tem Divisional Council. Additionally, he serves as a personal secretary to the Paramount Chief of Tem Kotokoli in Ghana, Nana Dahud Chedre Brenai II.
