Maaribowu Festival 2024: A Celebration of Tem Culture in New York

The Tem community in the United States came together to celebrate the Maaribowu Festival, a vibrant and meaningful event that showcases the rich culture and heritage of the Tem people. Led by Wuro Yahya Sandu Kinko, Tem Regional Wuro for the United States of America, the festival took place in New York from August 31 to September 1, 2024, under the auspices of the Tem Divisional Council.

The Maaribowu Festival is a significant occasion for the Tem community, bringing together individuals and families from across the United States to share in traditions, customs, and values that define their identity. This year’s celebration was particularly special, as it provided an opportunity for the Tem people to connect with one another, strengthen bonds, and reaffirm their commitment to their cultural heritage.

Wuro Yahya Kinko, in his address, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Tembia USA for their tireless efforts in organizing the event.
