WAEC Releases Provisional Results for 2024 WASSCE
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2024 WASSCE for School Candidates.
Key Updates:
- Subject Results Cancelled: Results of 4,108 candidates have been cancelled because they brought banned items like notes, textbooks, and printed materials into the exam halls.
- Entire Results Cancelled: 483 candidates lost all their results for using mobile phones during the exams.
- Results Withheld: Subject results of 781 candidates and full results of 209 candidates have been withheld for other suspected exam offenses. These cases are still under investigation.
WAEC also flagged results from 319 schools for alleged cheating. These results will be reviewed and could be released or cancelled based on findings.
How to Check Your Results:
Candidates can access their results online at www.waecgh.org. Schools will also receive login details to check results for their students.
Important Notice:
WAEC warns everyone to ignore fraudsters who claim they can change results for money. Results are secure and can be verified using WAEC’s QR code system.

- Total candidates: 460,611 (212,954 males and 247,657 females)

- Absentees: 4,609
